I've posted a few sketches I've done in this style but I have yet to try and translate this style onto my ceramics. I remember the first sketch I made in this style. It was the only thing I made while on my trip to Mexico and it changed everything for me. It's the only pieces of my own work I've ever gotten framed. The figurative and gestural lines make everything feel cohesive and as if it all just flows together. Combined with the addition of color, each one added throughout the whole piece as once, adds further to the coheision through the piece and each of it's elements. Symbolizing the connection of all aspects of our day to day we often like to compartmentalize. After all life just happens.
